Chambéry is the closest major airport to the Three Valleys, around 1 hour 30 minutes from London on a light jet. Geneva is the alternative when Chambéry is busy. The Courchevel Altiport takes only approved aircraft and specially trained crews.
A helicopter from Chambéry or Geneva puts you in Courchevel in under 40 minutes and avoids the mountain roads, which are slow on changeover Saturdays. Chauffeurs are available for those who prefer to drive.
Saturdays over Christmas and New Year are the busiest days of the season at Chambéry and Geneva. Aircraft, slots and helicopters go well in advance.
